On tuesday the 15th of April Juno came to DVD. The first disc contains the feature length film of Juno and the set of features. While the ssecond disc is a digital copy of the film so you can watch Juno on the go.

The Features of the first disc are (Before the Feature there are two trailers for 27 Dresses and The Savages):

Feature length comentary by the Writer Diablo Cody and Director Jason Reitman

Deleted Scenes (20:20); also with opitional commentary by screenwriter Diablo Cody and Director Jason Reitman.

Gag Reel (5:12) – A seriesof mess up on the set of Juno.

Gag Take (1:57) – A gag take from the Rainn Wilson.

Cast and Crew Jam (3:13) – The cast and crew dancing around.

Screen Test (22:32) – The screen test of Ellen Page and Micheal Crea.

Way Beyond “Our” Maturity Level: Juno – Leah – Bleeker (8:58)

Diablo Cody is Totally Boss (8:36) – A short feature show how Diablo Cody got to write the Juno script and get the movie made.

Jason Reitman is For Shizz (8:09) – The process of how Jason Reitman got connect to the film.

Honest to Blog!: Creating Juno (13:02) – Of course the Making of Juno with interviews from the cast and crew.

Even more trailers of Sountrack Spot, Charlie Bartlett, Lars and the Real Girl and Bonneville.

The second disc contains:

A digital copy of the disc.

Alot of the features on the two disc is pretty good and for me with only a couple of rotton eggs. One of the rotton egg being the Cast and Crew Jam feature. Personally I thought it was a was just a of space on the disc. The rest of the features do a good job at showing the audience the process of how Juno was made, something some extras on DVDs rarely show us.

Overall I would recommend this DVD as a buy the feature length film could have been the reason alone to get the DVD, but features like Way Beyond, totally boss, For Shizz and Honest to Blog really seal the deal. This DVD is a buy.

Ellen Page plays Juno, a sixteen year old girl who now is pregnant and decides that she can’t go through with abortion decides with a llittle help from her friend Leah (Olivia Thirlby) suggest giving it to a couple looking for a child in the penny savers. Through the penny savers she meets the perfect couple played by Jason Bateman and Jennifer Garner. We follow Juno thought the step of pregnancy through the highs and lows till the big day.

The first thrity minutes (besides the animated opening credits, which I like) of Juno, I hated. I just didn’t liked the dialouge I felt like it was trying to be too quirky and that put me off. Then once it got up till the point after Juno and her father (played by J.K. Simmons) meet with the couple Juno plans on giving her child to. After that I fell right back into the movie with open arms and enjoyed the rest of the movie.

The Cast of Juno were all great for me Ellen Page was only OK, why the supporting cast (like J.K. Simmons, Jason Bateman, Jennifer Garner and Allison Janney) really did a good job. Is it me or does Micheal Cera have the same acting technique for all type of characters he plays. He acts the exactly like his characters from television show Arrested Development and his other movie Superbad.

Overall sitting down and watch Juno in the beginning I hated but once you get past that then its full sailing and everything fits in all together. From the acting to the original story of Juno it just seem so right. I recommend see this movie.

On the 22nd of April Cloverfield came out on DVD on a single disc set.

The contents of the Cloverfield DVD are:

Trailers of Star Trek and Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of Crystal Skull trailers at the beginning of the DVD but can also be accessed from the Previews section in the special features.

Feature length commentary by the film Director Matt Reeves

Document 01.18.08: The Making of Cloverfield (28:16).

Cloverfield Visual Effects (22:29).

I saw it! It’s alive! It’s huge! (5:51).

Clover Fun (3:57).

Deleted Scenes (3:34).

Alternate Endings (4:34).

Most of the features on the DVD went together really well, my personal favorite feature jad to have been the Visual effects feature. Mainly because I am always interested on how and what they do to make all the monsters seem really there in reality. Everything else are good too but I enjoyed that just a little bit more.

**(Side Note) I’m going om a small tangent, but here it goes. Before the movie was even released they (the filmmakers) tried hard to keep everything even the monster hidden. If anyone hadn’t watch Cloverfield yet and didn’t see any spoilers, they can be disapointed just by looking at the back of the DVD. Thety show a part of the monsters on the back. What up with that?

I liked this DVD I was interested with most of the Features and think it a pretty solid buy. but I just can’t stop think that in the future there will be 2-disc of Cloverfield. Yet I would still double dip with this movie. I recommend Cloverfield DVD as a buy.

Easter Eggs (and how to find them)– (1)Scene 17 Supplemental Files: Go to Scene 13-16 in ‘Scene Selection’ and leave the remote alone for 1:17. Scene 17 will appear. (2) Go to Spanish subtitle option and push right on the remote. This will highlight a helicopter where the Statue of Liberty head should be. (3) Go to SCENE SELECTIONS, and above scene #10 should be the extra bit X

(Quick End Thoughts) I heard that they are planning a squeal to Cloverfield, and this is just speculation but during of of the features one of the FX creaters say that the monster is a baby, maybe Cloverfield 2 is when Mama monsters comes to help her baby?

Well, I remember sitting in the theatre about to watch Transformers and I see a trailer for a unknown movie and got me really excited. I went through all the online shenanigans that went on up till the release date of what was titled Cloverfield.

Cloverfield stars Michael Stahl-David who plays Rob Hawkins along with Jessica Lucas, Odette Yustman, Lizzy Caplan, Mike Vogel and T.J. Miller who plays the camera man throughout the movie. The main story of Cloverfield revolves around an monster attacking New York and we see the attacks through these peoples eyes (or well through the camera anyway).

I must say as the date of this movies release drew near I was becoming a little skeptical of the film. Basically become of the way it was filmed, with the shaking camera technique. Only in a couple of films have I like it like Children of Men (A movie that I loved) and I was tolerant with it with the Bourne Trilogy, but with this It worked for me. It made me feel that I was with the characters experiencing the events has you were right with them.

The actors I thought did a good job I think It was smart to cast some unknown actors it sort of adds to the realism to the film. I really like the character Hud, a lot of his remarks were great.

The look and feel, felt like something new and we haven’t seen a good creature feature in a long time and am glad to see one that’s really enjoyable. I would recommend watching Cloverfield.

The Forbidden Kingdom stars action legends Jackie Chan (who plays Lu Yan) and Jet Li (playing the Monkey King and The Silent Monk) along with Michael Angarano, Yifei Liu (played Sparrow) and Collin Chou playing the Jade Warlord.

Well the main plot of The Forbidden Kingdom starts off with the Monkey King (Jet Li) causing mischief against the Jade Warlord (beating up some jade warriors atop a group of mountains), and the Jade Warlord challenges the Monkey King to a duel. During the duel the Jade Warlord (Collin Chou) turns the Monkey King into stone just after the Monkey King casts his staff away.

Switch to sort of present day and we see Jason (played by Michael Angarano). He get out of bed and goes to a store in China town to buy some kung fu movies (this is were we see Jackie Chan in make up to make him look old playing the shop owner). Afterwards he gets chased after by as group of bullies and Jason is ends up inside The Forbidden Kingdom. Here he first meets Lu Yan (Jackie Chan) and they start a journey to help return the staff to his rightful owner. On the way they meet Sparrow (Yifei Liu) and the Silent Monk (played by Jet Li) who helps him on his journey.

Now as being a big Jackie Chan Fan some could thing that this is a no brainer of which way I might swing, but I’m not going to lie I loved this movie. I was grinning from ear to ear, I was like a kid in a candy shop seeing Jackie Chan and Jet Li on screen together.

Over and over, film after film Woo-ping Yuen always delivers when It comes to the choreography he is truly the greatest of his profession. Jackie Chan and Jet Li both are excellent during there selection of fight scenes with the best of course in my mind being when the two fought each other inside the temple.

Along with the great fight scenes the Forbidden Kingdom is really funny I was actually surprised on how funny it was, most of the scenes came from when Jet Li and Jackie was training the kid and a “raining” scene which is hilarious.

As a huge fan when it comes to pretty much anything about martial arts films I’ll like from anything thing these two actors do all the way to any Shaw Brothers Films. For me The Forbidden Kingdom fit perfectly together I loved every minute of it. I highly recommend this movie.

Baby Mama stars Tina Fey and Amy Poehler who were both on SNL together while Tina as left Amy Poehler is still there. Both did one of my personal favorite segments on SNL The Weekend Update. Baby Mama is Directed by Michael McCullers which is his first job as director.

When Kate Holbrook (Tina Fey) finds out that she can’t get pregnant she turns to having a surrogate having the baby for her. That woman is Angie Ostrowiski (Amy Poehler) who agrees to put Kate’s baby inside her and we follow the two through the course of the pregnancy.

I like this movie a lot but then on some parts I didn’t. The first parts of the movie I thought was dull with some quick bits of laughter here and there, only up till Amy Poehler moves in with Kate (Tina Fey) does this movie start to get funny. Some of the reasons why has to be with this movie not having a script and at times was a little dull and very predictable.

Aside from those flaws, Baby Mama is a very funny movie. Tina Fey and Amy Poehler have great chemistry and that shows I hope in the future they can do more movies together. Some of my favorite moments come from Romany Malco who plays Oscar, he is a very funny person I especially liked him in the 40-Year-Old Virgin and on the Showtime hit Weeds. Another funny character was Steve Martin (who plays Tina’s boss), he has this very funny awkward scene.

Baby Mama I thought was funny but still with the flaws the movie is still watchable. Tina Fey and Amy Poehler have great chemistry and I hope they do a lot more movies together in the future. I still Recommend Baby Mama.
